I have learned that Good Soil and Healthy Roots Matter Most
Matthew 13:18-23 NIV “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
When we say God works “behind the scenes,” we’re saying He is at work even when we cannot see Him.
Isaiah said “Truly you are a God who has been hiding himself, the God and Savior of Israel,” it says in Isaiah 45:15(NIV). Other translations use the term “a God that people cannot see” (NCV) or “who conceals himself” (GNT). The Message translation uses, “a God who works behind the scenes. ”Job 1:21-22 NIV and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
Job teaches us that, in all events, God is sovereign. “The LORD gave”—and we praise Him for His good and undeserved blessings. “The LORD has taken away”—and we praise Him that our loss is for our good and that He still has our best interests at heart. In all things, then, we say, “Blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21, ESV).
